Our Dance Department provides long and short term dance programmes, camps and overseas exchange opportunities to schools. We provide committed and experienced teachers who are well-trained in their specialized areas in dance.

Our team include MOE Registered and approved instructors, professional dancers as well as graduates from LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. With a diverse group of teachers, we are able to provide customized courses to schools with special requirements and needs.

Arts Culture organise leadership training workshop but with a twist (literally). Dance is incorporated as part of the leadership training programme, we assign group activities where individuals take responsibility for thier own learning as well as for the team. Hip Hop has its roots in Jazz/ Rock, Tap, American and Latino Cultures. A large part of HipHop involves dancers infusing their individuality into the given movements,hence, requiring dancers to be confident of their personality. Hiphop Is greatly influenced by, and performed to pop music. Arts Culture’s Hiphop Course is a good way for students to learn confidence by way of the dynamism of this dance style. In Kpop, we use popular Korean Pop song and instructors choreographed to such music that is highly popular amongst teenagers. In Music Television Video (MTV) dance, students will get to learn movements that are seen in popular music video, as well as learn choreography created by their instructor. Modern Dance Came about as a revolt against Classical Ballet and its strict structure and vocabulary. It relies on the emotions and interpretations of the dancer to come up with new movement vocabulary. This is a highly technical dance form with its own set of movement vocabulary. It emerged in the Italian Renaissance Courts during the 15th century, but was formalised in France in the 17th Century. Arts Culture’s Ballet course is a structured, technique-based course teaching the proper execution of the dance form. Students will learn a set of french ballet terms together with corresponding movements. They learn the correct body alignment and posture that is required in ballet.

Jazz dance emerged in the 1800s from African-American roots. It has since evolved into many styles including lyrical/broadway/street Jazz as well as Jazz Funk. Common moves learnt in all jazz technique class include jazz hands, leaps, kicks and turns.
